Hindi Nakaukit sa Bato Iyong 10-0 sa Dagupan

May koypa ako dito ng May 2025 scientific survey ng mga tumatakbong 24 candidates para konsehales sa Dagupan City. Iyong ni post ko sa blog ko na 12-0 in favor of Mayor Belen Team noong Friday ay nag jibe dito sa listahan ko with matching ranks and percentages.
Ito iyong sinabi ko noong Biyernes:
"Matindi sa Dagupan City, bukod kay Belen Fernandez (reelective mayor) at Brian Kua (reelective vice mayor), lahat ng sampung konsehales at wala kahit isa sa mga kandidato sa ilalim ni Brian Lim ay na endorso ng Iglesia,” ani ng source ko na ayaw magpakilala.

Napag alaman ko na bago maglabas ng i-endorso ang Iglesia ay nagpa survey sila.

"Halos magkaparehas ang (May) survey result namin sa kanilang survey," ani ng tao na sumama sa mga pollster na ni commissioned pa galing Meynila.

Balik tayo doon sa Top 10 na councilors ni Belen. It doesn't mean that because they were at the Top 10 list of the result of the poll it is already sine qua non na mananalo sila.

It doesn't mean na iyong isang most demonized sa four members ng opposition - called Magic 7 - where one fell to No.16 would be a loser after the counting of the ballots on May 12 D-Day.

Dahil siya ang pinakamayaman sa lahat na kandidato para Sanggunian Panlungsod at mamimili siya kunwari ng tig P20O per voter (145,000 registered voters in Dagupond City as of 2025), e baka magulat iyong Top 5 na mga apostoles ni Belen na bibili - as customarily done - at P50 per voter.
"Iyong survey na iyan ang sentimento ng botante na wala pa ang bigayan ng pera. Nangingibabaw ang talino at bias ng mga botante o bobotante diyan. Pero oras na pumasok ang kapangyarihan ng salapi - lalo mas malaki kumpara sa iba -- susmariosep game changer na iyan!, Lahat iyang talino at bias ay pupunta sa arinodoro in favor of the candidates who shell out the bigger amount of money," Sabi ko sa Spy ko na nagbigay ng listahan.

Iiyak diyan ang kulang sa datung kahit nasa Top 10 pa sila sa survey. Alam ko na iyan since time immemorial pa! Karamihan sa botante for sale!

MGA BOBONG NAGKAKALAT

A friend was crowing that these neophyte and young candidates for the lawmaking bodies were topping the scientific survey commissioned by a high elective official three weeks ago.

"May mga pera pa sila dahil binigyan sila ng milyones ng patron nila pambili ng mga boto," he said.

"Okay lang iyan. Naka abang itong keyboard ng laptop ko dahil kada sesyon nila diyan inaabangan ko iyong mga nagkakalat. Wag silang patanga-tanga at makakantiyawan at mababatikos ko sila just like their counterparts in the past," I said.

Many of these "pacute" candidates -- seen too in other parts of the country -- when elected into office find themselves at a loss how to craft laws, enunciate wisdoms, and pass legislation thus they become fair game to the ascerbic opinions of those intelligent commentators who know their stuffs (Psst! Madami din kasi sa mga kumentator hindi intelligent, nagkakalat din, sanamagan!)

To those would be solons: Elected officials nga kayo pero pinagtatawanan naman ang kabobohan ninyo ng mga tao dahil sa kumentaryo sa inyo. Masakit di ba?

Many of these politicians are sons, daughters, and siblings - who are mostly walang alam -- of kin who are in their last term as elective brass, friends with the power- that- be, and those who are moneyed who think their dough could mint 'em into a person with an "Honorable" appended before their first name and become a respected figure in the community.

Damn! They are wrong. The guns of the Fourth Estate wait for 'em to expose 'em!
