DAGUPAN CITY – Police Superintendent Franklin Ortiz is now this City's new chief of police in a new reshuffle effected by the Philippine National Police (PNP) regional office in lieu of Superintendent Neil O. Miro who was also designated as OIC chief of police of Urdaneta City.

Ortiz was warmly welcomed by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez when he paid a courtesy call at the City Museum on April 9.
“The entire city is pleased to welcome the new Dagupan police chief Franklin Ortiz as he formally assumes leadership today. We are confident that together, we shall continue to effectively carry out and sustain the anti-drug and anti-criminality campaign of His Excellency President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and the Philippine National Police. Together we are fully committed to pursue child-friendly and development initiatives to make Dagupan one of the peaceful cities in the country,” said Fernandez.
Ortiz is a member of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2003.
