Sex workers and gov't officials on AIDS Candlelight Memorial

CANDLE LIGHT MEMORIAL. Sex workers and government officials in
 Urdaneta City, Pangasinan joined the celebration at the city plaza  of the
International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, an international event which is
commemorated every 3rd Week of May every year.  Guest of Honor is 
 Mayor
 Amadeo Gregorio “Bobom” E. Perez IV and Guest Speakers are Regional Health
 Director Myrna Cabotaje   and City Health Officer, Dr. Bernardo
 Macaraeg , and a male victim of the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome
 (AIDS).The celebration is an event of solidarity together with the international

 communities, organizations, governments and civil societies. It is not just 
however  a commemoration of those who died because of AIDS, but it is venue
 where the community, the government and the different organizations come
 together and make a stand against the spread of  the human
 immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and AIDS, stigma and discrimination.

An AIDS' victim, an effeminate registered nurse, exhorts sex workers in Pangasinan to be careful with themselves
and their customers. A flyer of the Department of Health reminds Filipinos of the ABCDE of sex. A- Abstain
from sex, B- Be faithful to your partner, C- Consistently use condoms, D- Do not use illegal drugs, E-Educate yourself
