Mangaldan to host National Brigada Kick Off Program

MANGALDAN – The national awardee last year of the Best Brigada Eskwela Implementer will lead and host here on Monday for the entire country the kick off of the same program.



According to Rose Hulipas, administrative officer of the local government here, the Mangaldan Integrated School Special Education or formerly Bantayan Central School in Barangay Bantayan will host the caravan and program that will kick off  the Brigada Eskwela 2015 in the whole country.

Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide voluntary effort which started in 2003, bringing together teachers, parents, and the community to do clean up and repairs the public schools to prepare the facilities for the June school opening.
Hulipas said the program will start at 7:00 Am where Brigada stakeholders and mascots assembled in front of the municipal hall and caravan  to and from Barangay Bantayan here.

“It would be led by the town's police patrol car with SPO1 Mascot, followed by Mayor Bona Fe de Vera-Parayno, DepEd Assistant Secretary for Finance Armando C. Ruiz, DepEd Regional Director Teresita M. Velasco, School Division -II  Superintendent Lawyer Donato D. Balderas, Jr. and Ikong and Ikang - the two Pindang Festival's Mascots,” Hulipas stressed.

She said that they would be followed by the Mangaldan National High School Drum & Bugle Corps, Provincial Mobile Screen; Provincial Government Officials, Employees and other volunteers, Pangasinan Division II Officials and Personnel, Sangguniang Bayan of this town, Bantayan Barangay Officials led by Barangay Captain Ritchie G. Abalos, Local Government Unit, this town's local government employees and department heads, Non-Government Organization with Padyak, Mangaldan Districts 1 and II, Mangaldan National High School, David National School, volunteer groups, civic organizations, different club organizations, and the business sectors, and Jollibee-Magic Mascots.

Hulipas said that in the program proper those who will speak on the welcome address and message of support for the Brigada will be Mayor Parayno for this town, Lawyer Balderas on behalf of the DepEd Division, Vice Governor Ferdinand Calimlim on behalf of the province, District Congresswoman Gina de Venecia and DepEd Regional Director Teresita M. Velasco.

“Assistant Secretary Ruiz  and Governor Amado T. Espino will be the inspirational speaker and guest of honor and speaker. After that the governor, the mayor, vice governor, and STHS Batchj of 1983 will distribute the Brigada Eskwela packages,” the lady administrative officer said.
