Parayno explained during the Brigada Eskwela held last May 18 at the Mangaldan Integrated School Special Education or formerly Bantayan Central School.
Brigada Eskwela is a nationwide voluntary effort which started in 2003, bringing together teachers, parents, and the community to do clean up and repairs the public schools to prepare the facilities for the June school opening.

Espino, Vice Governor Ferdinand Calimlim,  Mayor Parayno, Vice Mayor Manny Casupang, members of this town council, and other luminaries from the Dep Ed regional and provincial offices.
Mayor Parayno assailed critics that her all-out support to the public schools here are for political brownie points.
She said her zeal in raising the bar of the public education here is her love to the stakeholders.
“Ang sikreto siguro, the main ingredient, is the heart. Tunay na pagtutulungan. Hindi lang katulad ng naririnig diyan na sabi nila pinupulitika ko lang pero ang talagang vision ko is true leadership sa pagtulong sa bayan”.
Parayno said her administration allocates regularly a big chunk of monetary support to public education here.
According to Rose Hulipas, administrative officer of the local government here, this town hosted the caravan and program that kicked off  the Brigada Eskwela 2015 here.
All primary and secondary public schools all over the country simultaneously started the Brigada Eskwela last May 18 for the opening of classes in June.
