MANAOAG, Pangasinan – The nascent Rosario administration has done countless laudable projects and programs for the benefit of its constituents in the local government unit (LGU) here just more than four months into office.

Mayor Jeremy Agerico Rosario cited to Northern Watch Newspaper that the wellness Program being held every third Friday of the month will reinvigorate the efficiency of the LGU workers.

The employees and their immediate members of the family are treated with free medical and dental services like booster on top of the inoculation against the coronavirus disease -19) COVID -19, massage, hair dressing, pedicure, manicure, maintenance medicines on ailments, eye treatment through free glasses, and others.

The LGU spends only for the food of the personnel of the sponsors as the services are paid by the latter.

In just a few months, people in and out of this first class town saw how he spruced up the offices and the pavement of the front yard of the municipal hall with maroon tiles.

He showed too how he renovated the former offices of the vice mayor and the legislative body in the second floor to host his meetings and where he officiates weddings of his constituents.

The old Presidencia, he explained, could only be restored to its former glory because its historical, when asked if he has plan to construct a new bigger municipal hall.

The local government unit, the Mayor pointed out, has several edifices that could accommodate the needs of this government.

“Marami kaming building. Sa amin din iyan. Ang tourism sa itaas malaki,” he pointed to some buildings across the street while he and this writer were in the third floor of the municipal hall.

Other programs and projects implemented and to be implemented under the Rosario administration are the formation of a new traffic office to mitigate the traffic snarl that besets this pilgrims’ town since time immemorial; regulation of the movements of the vendors that aggravate the congestion of the vehicles on the streets because they hawk there; and the reconstruction of the old public market.

To make his administration more efficient, Rosario, a surgeon and a former seasoned provincial legislature, adapted the best practices done by other LGUs in and out of Pangasinan. Some of them are the organization of the employees’ association and creation of cooperative for the workers.
