DAGUPAN CITY - SaveMore, a chain of neighborhood grocery stores under the SM Food Retail Group, presented on December 5 its proposal of putting up its latest branch in the city in a meeting by its executives with members of the Local Investment and Development Board headed Mayor Belen T. Fernandez as chairman.
SaveMore is among the latest investors which signified its interest to conduct business in the city.
The Board, established by Fernandez to curve red tape and corrupt practices in the city government, warmly welcomed SaveMore in the city.
“We are glad about SaveMore’s plan of investing in our city. This would mean additional income for the city and job opportunities for Dagupeños,” said Fernandez.
With the development soon of the new government center and the three growth areas in the city, the Board expects more investors to come to the city and invest here.
In her Christmas message, on December 5, Fernandez disclosed that Dagupan is now transforming into the city “we want for our children”.
“Like a train, our speed of progress is unstoppable, and nor force, no opposition, no evil scheme is so strong to stop the inevitable to keep us off the tracks. Our Good Lord continue to bless our city because we have given our full love and care to our children, to the elderly, the weak, the sick, the powerless, and the poor,” said Fernandez. (Joseph C.
