Capitol set to acquire automated hospital facility via PPP

LINGAYEN – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan has authorized Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Allied Hospital Supply International Corporation and EFOTOXPRESS International Corporation and EFOTOEXPRESS Phils. Corp. for the provision of fully automated hospital facilities and equipment under a public-private partnership scheme for the provincial government hospitals of Pangasinan.
Provincial Resolution No. 1533-2015 has been approved during the SP’s regular session last September 7 to allow the governor to enter into the MOA for the delivery of medical equipment composed of a fully automated chemistry analyzer, differential auto hematology analyzer and a fully automated hematology analyzer at the Lingayen District Hospital and a computed radiography at the Eastern Pangasinan District Hospital in Tayug.
Resolution author, Provincial Board Member Napoleon C. Fontelera said the provision of the equipment was under public-private partnership scheme where the machines have been offered without a cash-out from the provincial government under a contract which ends on June 30, 2016.
Fontelera said the sets of equipment will further make delivery of healthcare service better, faster and more accessible to indigent families.
Dr. Jeremy Agerico Rosario, Assistant Provincial Health Officer said the equipment enables the hospitals to upgrade their facilities specifically on the laboratory section in order to cope with the demands of the clientele.
He said the acquisition of the radiography which is a digital X-ray is also in response to the order of the Department of Health (DOH) to make all the X-ray procedures via digital system.
