MANAOAG – The police
arrested the number one illegal drug pusher here whose clients are motorized
tricycle drivers of the pilgrimage town.

strategy of the Philippine National Police.

Revita, chief of police (COP) here, said that personnel from his station
conducted a buy-bust operation against Frederick C. Velasco alias Peding, 36,
married, jobless, and a resident of Project 4 along Milo Street in Barangay
Poblacion here. According to a memorandum furnished by Revita to this paper
confiscated from the suspect’s possession were two sachet of suspected shabu
(methamphetamine hydrochloride) and a buy bust money of five hundred pesos.
“His arrest was a blow to
drug pushing here because he catered mainly to tricycle drivers,” the COP said.
Revita said that a case for
violation of Article 2 Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 (Illegal Sale of Dangerous
Drugs and Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drugs) had been filed against Velasco and docketed under Criminal Case Numbers U-21151 and U-21152 dated July
17, 2015 at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Urdaneta City.
Aside from the non-bailable
offense of selling shabu, the malefactor was slapped with P200 thousand bails
for the illegal possession of the drugs, the memorandum cited.
The suspect is now detained at the Bureau of Jail Management &
Penology at Urdaneta City
