DAGUPAN CITY – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) discouraged lot owners who until now have no legal title certificates to their land, from going to 'fixers' who promise speedy transactions.
Celso Salazar, city environment and natural resources officer, said the agency has received reports that fixers are charging a higher price for titling services.
“We would like to clarify that under the Free Patent Act of 2010, the filing fee for the issuance of land title is only P65 and not P10,000 or P15,000,” Salazar said during the KBP Forum held at the DZRD Sonshine Radio Dagupan station on Thursday.
However, the applicant shoulders the costs for securing the certifications and the required notarized documents.
Requirements when applying for the issuance of land titles are land tax declaration in the name of the applicant and evidence of payments of realty taxes, he said. (VHS/AMM/PIA-1, Pangasinan)
