BIR Region 1 spikes collection by P4B

CALASIAO – The regional office of the Bureau of Internal Revenue in Northern Luzon increased its collection in the January to May  this year.

Lee Caday, head of the taxpayer assistance unit, said that BIR Region – 1 collected P3,844,344,902.20 from January to May 2015 versus P3,655,508,377.13  in the same period last year.
“It was a 5.28% hikes in an effort to increase the collection,” he said.
He lauded Regional Director Arnel Guballa on his innovations to collect from the taxpayers to buttress his office's coffer.
Caday said that the top collector in this period by surpassing the year-on-year collection was Revenue District Office-1 in Ilocos Norte with 11.98% hikes.

He cited that RDO-1 was followed by RDO-6 in Eastern Pangasinan with 6.52% spikes, RDO-5 in Western Pangasinan with 6.20% hikes, RDO-4 in Central Pangasinan with 5.76% spikes, RDO-3 in La Union Province with 5.65% hikes, and RDO-2 in Ilocos Sur with  negative 4.61 hikes.
Meanwhile, Ma. Bernadeth Mangaoang, Assistant RDO Chief of RDO-6 based in Urdaneta City said that in the January to June period of this year her office collected P577, 611,307.81 or a spiked of 7.39% versus P537,876,986.62  in the same period last year.
She stressed the sum of this year’s collection  hailed from P371, 843,296.49 from Income Tax, P690, 278.44 from Excise Tax, P142, 407,733.33 from Value Added Tax, P24, 367, 070.19 from Percentage Tax, and P38, 302, 929.36.
RDO-6 is under the watch of RDO-Chief Nasrollah Conding.
