 Gubernatorial aspirant Mark Cojuangco (4^th from left) emphatically explained that the five mayors and their respective council members in the 5^th Congressional District had each two public consultations undertaken with their constituents before the Department of Public Works & Highway started cutting hundreds of trees along the Manila North Road to accommodate the highway’s shoulder expansion.  Cojuangco and the mayors’ press conference was held last September 16 at Cojuangco’s cloud kissed residence in Labayug, Sison to belie the declaration of the Green Environmentalist Group that the mayors did not initiate consultation before the controversial trees were cut.
