Governor Espino throws support to two Local Bets

Lingayen--- Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. expressed full support to the candidacy of 2nd district Board Member Raul P. Sison and 5thDistrict Board Member Clemente B. Arboleda, Jr. who are both running for the position of  National Treasurer in the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) and the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL) respectively.

As a manifestation of support, the governor sought the assistance of all municipal mayors in the province to require all Sangguniang Bayan members in their respective locality to attend the elections.

It can be recalled that both legislators are performing well in their districts thus deserving of the support and full trust as public servants.

BM Sison first served as municipal councillor in 1992 to 2001 and 2004 to 2010 in Urbiztondo town.

He then became the president of the Philippine Councilors League (Pangasinan Chapter) where he sat as provincial board member ex-officio from 2007 to 2010.

He was elected as provincial board member in the province’s second district in last year’s elections.

During the previous term, BM Sison held the position of PBMLP regional chair for Region 1.

As such, he was a member of the national executive board of the PBMLP with all rights and privileges of elected national officials, including the right to vote during board member meetings.

Gov. Espino earlier commended BM Sison for his untiring support to the present administration as well as his strong and unquestionable qualities as a leader.

Sison chairs the committee on children, women, senior citizen family affairs and social welfare.

BM Arboleda, on the other hand, served as the team leader of the Operation Tulong Yolanda (formed by the governor) that went to Dulag, Leyte last December and acted as the province’s emissary of goodwill and volunteerism.

Gov. Espino tapped the services of BM Arboleda for the said project as he earlier said that the young legislator has the ‘qualities of a determined leader who aims to accomplish positive results in all assigned task given to him.’

Arboleda who is currently the majority floor leader of the province’s 8thSangguniang Panlalawigan, chairs the committee on rules, privileges and ethics as well as the committee on appropriations, economic affairs, and ways and means.

Before his stint in the provincial government, he served as Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman from 1996 to 1999. Later on, he became a Municipal Councilor in Alcala town.

With his outstanding performance as youth leader and local councillor, he emerged as the town’s Vice Mayor in 2004 to 2010.

Arboleda is a graduate of Bachelor of Science and Commerce major in Computer Applications and Information Science at San Beda College in Manila.
