 MANGALDAN - A senior board member said that during the internment of former Mangaldan Mayor Herminio Romero in January 3 here, a former high official of the government asked the lamentable and conspicuous absence of most of the mayors of the 48 strong cities and towns Pangasinan.

Among the 46 municipal mayors and four city mayors in Pangasinan, it was only Dasol Mayor Noel Nacar, the president of the Pangasinan Mayors League, Aguilar Mayor  Ed Ballesteros, this town Mayor Berex Abalos, and Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza who were sighted here.

The other political figures seen here were the couple former Speaker Jose, Jr. and Congresswoman Gina de Venecia, former head of the Land Transportation Office Art Lomibao, and Rosario.
