Medical facilities in Pangasinan succeed in producing
more COVID-19 recoveries. There are 12 recoveries as of today, April 15, of
whom three were discharged from the provincial government- run Pangasinan
Provincial Hospital (PPH) in Bolingit, San Carlos City.
Of the 33 COVID-19 patients in Pangasinan, 12 are still
confined in private and public medical facilities. It was last April 9, or six
days ago, when the ninth and last fatality was recorded.

With 12 COVID-19 recoveries today, Governor Amado I.
Espino III calls on the people of Pangasinan not to be complacent, reminding
all to stay in their houses and to adopt health safety precautions to prevent
them from contracting or transmitting the disease.
As he expressed commendation to the frontliners in
hospitals, law enforcement and other sectors, Gov. Espino also urges the
COVID-19 warriors to stay focused and effective in fighting the deadly
coronavirus.
“Maraming salamat sa inyong serbisyo sa mga Pangasinense.
Walang katumbas ang inyong serbisyo at sakripisyo sa panahon ngayon,” Governor
Espino said in a phone call to Provincial Health Officer Anna Maria Teresa de
Guzman last April 13.
It was that day when the second batch of medical
professionals of the provincial government who rendered their duty, attending
to the treatment of COVID-19 patients at the PPH, were discharged.
The 16 health workers, who will immediately proceed and
will stay to a comfortable isolation facility for 14 days, will be replaced by
the first batch of medical professionals who will render their hospital
duty.
Meanwhile, latest record shows that of the 150 Patient
Under Investigation (PUI), 82 have now recovered and 44 are still confined.
There are 24 PUI fatalities, 10 of whom were tested negative, while 13 awaiting
test results and 1 with no collected specimen.
As of date, the province has a total of 91,367 Person
Under Monitoring (PUM), of whom 85,684 representing 93.8 percent have already
completed the 14-day home quarantine, while 5,313 or 5.8 percent are under the
14-day home quarantine. There are 370 PUM (0.4 percent) who failed to complete
the prescribed quarantine period.
