To the few dozens serious senatorial candidates who
want to win the 12 senate seats, listen!
If you want to strategize and catapult yourself to
be in the elusive Magic 12 of the series of polls lead by the Social Weather
Station and Pulse Asia you should know the political landscapes of the mammoth
44 towns and 4 cities’ Pangasinan’s province.
With more
than a hundred media practitioners in the areas, your PR men should connect
only to the few influential commentators, columnists, reporters, and top
bloggers who could effectively deliver the goods to your electoral stocks in
the May 13, 2019 middle term election.
Just like in the past elections, you can contact totomortz@yahoo.com to link effectively with
the almost two million voters of the province considered as part of the top three
vote- rich provinces in the Philippines.
In the 2016 data from the Commission on Election (Comelec), the province of Cebu had the most number of voters with 2,722,288 (3 million voters in 2018 as projected) registered followed by Cavite, Pangasinan, Laguna, Negros Occidental, Bulacan, Batangas, Rizal, Iloilo and, Nueva Ecija.

According to an officer of the Comelec, who asked
for anonymity, the 1.947 million voters could be reduced because of the deletion on the multiple registrations,
validation, change of residence, and others by the Electoral Regulation Board (ERB).
“Mga
hundreds lang, sir. They could not make a dent on the present figures of
registered voters,” he told this columnist.
In the September 15 – 23, 2018 survey of the Pulse
Asia, the following top 12 senatorial candidates are: 1. Grace Poe; 2. Cynthia
Villar; 3. Pia Cayetano; 4. Nancy Binay; 5. Lito Lapid; 6. Koko Pimentel; 7.
Jinggoy Estrada; 8. Sonny Angara; 9. Sarah Duterte; 10.lmee Marcos; 11. Mar
Roxas; 12. Bam Aquino.
Below is the table of the SWS’ polls where 28 of
the wannabees entered.
Those candidates from Numbers 6 to 12 should not be
complacent on the ingratiation game with the voters.
Can you still remember jailed senator Leila Norma Eulalia Josefa de Lima when she was at No. 8 in the February 16-27, 2016 polls of the Pulse Asia? Thanks to her fracas with the acrimonious Iglesia ni Cristo's church members, those voters who hated the INC loved her when she prioritize to order the filing of the criminal cases against the brass of the controversial church.
But because of campaign blunders, she nearly lost the May 16, 2016 election when she fell to No. 12 of the Magic 12.

She got 13, 898, 283 votes while Super Heavyweight
(Elephant Division) Senator Franklin Drilon was No. 1 with 18, 153, 384.
Drilon’s brutally knocked out victim (Debate
Category with English as official medium) the loquacious real Grade 6 graduate boxer and senator
Manny Pacquiao was No. 7 with 15, 592, 390.

Senator Leila should be thankful, issues like
narcotics and paramours like her driver Ronnie Dayan of Pangasinan were not hurled against her in the 2016 sexual, er, electoral derby.
She should be thankful, there was no congressional
hearings where a Party List Congressman named Harriettee, este, Harry Roque incessantly and passionately asked Dayan, with fellow solons drool at the circus, what intensity
if based on the earthquake her and Dayan’s copulation ensued on bed.
Or was it inside the car? My memory now is hazy.

Those candidates in Numbers 13 to 20 should double
or triple their efforts otherwise those millions of pesos and the physically draining efforts they invested doing whistle stops and stumps in the
archipelago will just go to naught.
Warning to candidates!
Don’t emulate a tightwad senatorial bet where many
media men in Pangasinan stop doing PR works with him. Why? He gave only P2,000
monthly for them. Aside from leaving him, many of these commentators have been
lambasting him instead on their radio programs. The last time I saw him, he was
out of the Magic 12.

pincher reelectionist senator who did not win.
