Superintendent
Jandale I.Sulit handshakes City Mayor Belen T.
Fernandez when the former made a courtesy call in her office.
Sulit,
known as stickler for discipline, replaced Supt. Frank Ortiz after the
appointment last December of Police Regional Director Chief Supt.
 Romulo  E. Sapitula.

Sulit, who admitted being a very strict officer, disclosed that he will not be a sitting police officer while performing his duties and responsibilities as the city’s new OIC chief of police.
“From time to time makikita po ninyo ako sa mga lansangan ng lungsod to monitor the situation in order to assure our people peace and order in the city,” said Sulit.
He also intends to impose a program which will bring the PNP closer to the Catholic Church by sponsoring a Mass offering in all the churches found in the city, which he plans to do twice a month and conduct zumba sessions involving drug surrenderers in the barangays.
Mayor Fernandez gladly welcomed the appointment of Sulit as she also expressed her gratitude to Ortiz for his unselfish service to the city though in just short term.
“I already discussed the priorities of our city on peace and order with P/Supt. Sulit. These are: No exception in implementing the anti-drugs campaign. Maintain courtesy and respect to our Dagupeños; police visibility and checkpoints especially during nighttime,” said Fernandez.
In addition, the mayor asked the new chief of police to support the maintenance of traffic and achieve zero crime incident in the city.
“Our city is providing P9.4 million for the improvement of logistics and training of SWAT team. Our CSWDO is fully supporting all of the social programs of the PNP,” said Fernandez.
Fernandez also invited Sulit to have a meeting and briefing with B.E.L.E.N. 16911, CDRRMO, POSO, the local council for the protection of children, peace and order council for proper coordination. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO/Jan. 5, 2018.
