LAST RESPECTS TO SAF TROOPER

 Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas (holding the casket), accompanied by Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. (left) and other local leaders, pay his last respects to PNP-Special Action Force (SAF) trooper Ephraim Mejia at San Nicolas, last February 2.  Roxas said the national government will extend all the rightful benefits and support to the slain PO2 who was one of the 44 PNP-SAF who died in a clash with Muslim rebels in Mamasapano, Maguindanao last January 25. /TQuimson

Governor Espino pays homage to slain SAF commando.  Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. pays his last respects to PNP-Special Action Force trooper, PO2 Ephraim Mejia at the elite cop’s hometown in San Nicolas, Pangasinan last January 31.  The Governor, a former soldier and policeman, provided financial support to Mejia’s family. Mejia was among the 44 members of the PNP-Special Action Force who were killed in a clash with Muslim rebels at Mamasapano, Maguindanao. /TQuimson
