LINGAYEN---- In line with the celebration of the Health and Wellness Anniversary of the Provincial Employees, the Human Resources and Management Office, in partnership with the Provincial Health Office (PHO) will once again conduct a more comprehensive delivery of free health services for provincial employees on Friday, February 13 starting 8 am at the Health and Wellness Center in Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center compound here.
Now on its 4th year, the one day event will offer additional health services which include breast examination, cervical screening for women, prostrate examination for men, immunization for pneumococcal, and flu virus, free eye examination and assessment wherein free eyeglasses will be given, and free dental services to include oral prophylaxis and extraction.
Also, various laboratory tests which include blood typing hemoglobin, cholesterol, and FBS testing as well as urinalysis, bone screening, ECG, ultrasound and Foot Doppler procedures can be availed.
Apart from other services which include medical consultations and provision of free medicines, there will also be a blood donation activity wherein employees are encouraged to bring along with them potential donors.
During the event, the PHO will conduct an information drive on alternative medicine and other promotion activities to strengthen awareness among the employees to attain their optimum level of health.
Started in 2011, the province’s Health and Wellness program was conceptualized to help its workers to be health conscious so that they could render a better performance as public servants. (Kristine De Vera)
