ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan - The mayor here proudly announced that this
thriving city hurdled the certification for International Organization for
Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 and
becoming the first local government units (LGU) in the 44 towns and four cities
in Pangasinan province to strut the international body’s diadem.
“Not only the mayor’s office weathered the
ISO but all the offices of the local government unit,” Mayor Arth Bryan C.
Celeste cited on the 25 departments and sections that passed the standards of the
international body.
Celeste lauded the department heads and
personnel for their sacrifices and perseverance for the several months’ quest.

The 23 years old mayor, the youngest among
LGUs chief executives in the Philippines, hailed the help extended by Neo Amca Innovative
Solutions Corporation (NAISC) to fulfill his administration dreams for an ISO
Certification.
“Isang malaking karangalan para sa ating pamahalaang lungsod ang igagawad na sertipikasyon. Ipagpatuloy natin ang ating
mga magagandang nasimulan at laging pakatatandaan na tayo ay nagpa-ISO
Certification para po ito sa ating taong bayan,” he stressed.
Celeste
has big plan for the unhampered progress of the burgeoning tourist drawing city in
Northern Luzon.
With the cooperation shared by the
officials and his constituents, the mayor is optimistic that this city could
achieve the goal of a much higher quality service to them through his vision
and mission’s endeavors.
The moist eye for ISO started during the
stint of the mayor’s predecessor and father Arthur F. Celeste when he signed a
partnership deal with NAISC.
“25
departments at lahat ng sections ISO rated. It pays to have a youthful mayor
who is malleable to better change and adapt to the changing bureaucracy management,”
City Information Office Chief Toots M. Orfinada
told this writer.
The minting into ISO of the local
government here was confirmed by Gilda Ramos, Lead Auditor of Certification
Partner Global (CPG), at a meeting held at the Don Leopoldo Sison Convention
Center.
It only showed, she cited, the LGU here
possessed the quality management system because it passed on the criteria of
the ISO 9001: 2015.
ISO,
according to its website, is the world's largest developer of voluntary
international standards and it facilitates world trade by providing common
standards among nations. More than twenty thousand standards have been set,
covering everything from manufactured products and technology to food safety,
agriculture, and healthcare.
The meticulous evaluation
of the CPG for the international body lasted for eight months where the city
submitted a quality manual where it showed she implemented countless scope of
activities.
It is really very helpful for us and I have gathered some important information from this blog.
