MANGALDAN, Pangasinan - Mayor Bona Fe D. Parayno hosted Fourth District
Representative Christopher de Venecia and entourage when he graced the exibits of
his pet’s Project Smile (PS) at the newly built and cozy Museo de Mangaldan and
Heritage Center (MMHC).
MMHC is one of the
countless projects of Mayor Parayno in her infrastructure streaks when she
became mayor in 2013 and was reelected 2016 of this one of the most flourishing towns in
the 44 municipalities of Pangasinan.
RETROSPECT - Fourth District Congressman Christopher de Venecia (2nd from Left, seated) enjoys the speech of Mangaldan Mayor Bona Fe D. Parayno who disagreed with critics that the new Museo de Mangaldan and Heritage Center (MMHC) will be an economics liability for the town’s coffer. The Lady chief executive instead justified it by citing that the people of the fist class central Pangasinan town should in retrospection see how the artifacts and other objects of artistic, cultural, historical, and scientific values displayed at the Center have molded them.
PS is a photo exhibit
of various personalities who brought honor, prestige and those who had greatly
contributed to the development and progress not only in the Fourth District but
in the entire province of Pangasinan.
“Pangasinan Smiles had photo exhibits held at
Museo se Mangaldan located at the ground floor of the Municipal Employees
Wellness and Fitness Center held from June 5 to June 19, 2018. It became
possible through the intercession of Congressman de Venecia and Mayor Bona,” according
to Department Head and Chief Administrative Officer Helen Aquino of the local
government unit here.
De Venecia invited last June 5 to join him grace the affairs
local and national personalities like Balon Dagupan Children’s Choir (youth),
Dagupan City Councilor Maybelyn Fernandez, Gloria Romero (showbiz legend)
Jasmine Curtis-Smith (actress), Jayson-Ramil Macaalay (athlete), Jaz Cerezo
(fashion designer), Joe Datuin (artist), Mintoy Yonting (singer) Speaker Jose
de Venecia and Congresswoman Gina de Venecia (public servant), Samahan ng
Maliit na Mangisda sa Dagupan (fisherfolks), and the winners of the Pangasinan
Smiles’ Essay Writing Contest’s Ian Balolong, James Dennis Tandoc, and Kim John
Santillan.
