MANGALDAN – Another two local government buildings here have been
inaugurated recently by this burgeoning town mayor.

Mayor Bona Fe D. Parayno led last Monday the official opening of the
completed world class faรงade of the main public market and the other additional
Pasalabong Center.
“Ito ay cutting of ribbon sa market faรงade at saka additional na
Pasalubong Center ng Mangaldan LGU,” she stressed.
She said the faรงade was worth P10 million.
Parayno graced Last July 2017 the groundbreaking ceremony of the
renovation of the public market she dubbed as the market central of the three
towns and a city that surrounded it.
“The
objective of this project is kept atop of the design of modern infrastructure
and architectural design of the modern world. Sabi nga nila embrace change and
we all knew Mangaldan market is the center market catering to the nearby towns
which are San Fabian, Manaoag, Mapandan and even Dagupan City,” the mayor stressed.
She cited that because of this strategical location the thriving town
has a “market day” every day - a comparative advantage to other local
government unit (LGU) that has one market day only in a week.
Mayor Parayno said that the second phase of the market stalls will be
constructed this year.
“Ang second phase naman pinagusapan pa iyong budget pero ipapagawa this
year iyong second phase ng first phase”.
Last year, the legislature under Vice Mayor Pedro Surdilla unanimously
approved the authority for Mayor Parayno to engage in the pre-selling of stalls
at the Phase-II.
An excerpt of Resolution No. 2017-02 said the Phase-II is a replacement
to the old market gutted by fire in 2009 to “ease the smooth transition
of business transaction of the project to the businessmen who are interested to
avail of stalls at the public market.”
Fernando Saguisag Cabrera, administrative officer 4 of the local
government here, said that the already collected ten million pesos good will
for the trust fund would be exclusively allocated, as the ordinance mandates,
for the implementation and rehabilitation of the Phase II market.
Cabrera cited this burgeoning town has recouped more than one-fourth of
the amortization of the P40 million loans she applied at the Land Bank of the
Philippines through the good will monies and rents from stall owners.
