BALON DAGUPAN SWIMMING CLUB WINS BANGUS FEST SWIM CUP



DAGUPAN CITY – Fresh from their victory  in swimming in the R1AA, the Balon Dagupan Swimming Club (BDSC) set a record anew by  winning the 7th Speedo G-League championship on April 23-24 during the Bangus Festival Swimming Cup at the Dagupan poolside besting 19 swimming teams from Central Northern Luzon and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Five of the most decorated swimmers of the BDSC won all their events in the competition like Rianna Isabelle Casipit who placed second in the 50 meter butterfly event but won the rest of the eight events she joined.

Mark Bryan Rioflorido won all the seven events but placed second in the 50 meter breaststroke; Paul Andrew Rioflorido placed first in six events, second in the 1500 meter free style event and third in the 50 meter butterfly event; Sophia Rafaelle De Vera placed first in five events and landed second in the 100 meter back stroke and 200 meter breaststroke events; while Janelle Alisa Lin placed first in five events, second in the 50 meter breaststroke event and third in the 50 meter butterfly event.  

BDSC also ruled in the mixed 400 meter freestyle relay in the 11-18 age division, mixed 200 meter medley relay in the 11-18 age division, mixed 200 meter freestyle relay in the 6-10 age division, and mixed 400 meter medley relay in the 11-18 age division.

Finishing second in the overall standing is the Modern Aquatic Swimming Club of Malolos, Bulacan and in third place is the La Union Bull Shark of La Union. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO/April 29, 2016)
