DAGUPAN CITY – The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan chapter has recognized individuals and organizations which served as its partners in providing services to Pangasinenses.
Media partners, government agencies and local government units were given their certificates of appreciation during the KBP Broadcasters’ Night held last Sunday at the Metroplaza Event Center in this city.
Emmanuel Sibayan, chairman of the KBP-Pangasinan chapter, said that this is the first time where KBP acknowledged the support of its partners which contributed to the successful conduct of the chapter’s activities in the province.
“KBP-Pangasinan chapter takes an active role in spearheading a regular KBP Forum, journalism seminars, member accreditation, environmental protection through its annual Oplan Broadcastreeing and other socio-civic activities,” he said.
Awarded as media partners were Eva Visperas and Cesar Ramirez (The Philippine Star); Yolanda Sotelo and Gabriel Cardinoza (Philippine Daily Inquirer); Liezle Basa and Jojo Rinoza (Manila Bulletin); Leonardo Micua (Philippine News Agency); USATV; and Venus May Sarmiento (Philippine Information Agency).
Recipients of certificates of appreciation as activity partners were PNP-Pangasinan; National Nutrition Council; BFAR-NIFTDC; Philippine Red Cross-Pangasinan chapter; PENRO; local government unit of Balungao; and provincial government of Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, Sibayan assured that KBP will continue to make its presence felt in every home as it remains not only as the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas but the “Kasama ng Bawat Pilipino.” (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
