BIR Eastern P’sinan feted with Customer Service Excellence

URDANETA CITY – The Civil Service Commission has awarded the Bureau of Internal Revenue that oversees this city and all towns in Eastern Pangasinan as No. 1 in terms of Customer Service Excellence by besting other government departments and agencies in Region1.

According to Assistant Revenue District Office Chief Maria Bernadette Mangaoang, RDO-6 under the leadership of RDO Chief Nasrollah Conding has been rated excellent this year.
“It is a report of the Civil Service (Commission) that we won through the Report Card Survey,” she stressed.
She said RDO-6 did not only excel against other governments agencies but bested the other five RDOs in the region.
Grounds for the scoring of the ESC are the following Anti Red Tape, Physical Set Up, Compliance R-T.A.
According to the website of the Customer Service Council that gives the ESC said: “The CSC runs an Annual Award Program which encourages individuals and organisations to achieve and promote customer service excellence, innovation, and best practice”.
It continued that the Best Practice" covers the key elements of customer satisfaction around response times, quality and depth of service including product, people and process, along with staff satisfaction, innovation, communication, technology, customer access, reporting and other key areas. The assessments are carried out during June, July and August followed by the Gala Awards Event "Raising the Standards" on the 3rd October 2014.  


“There were 15 respondents every year (for the contest). Actually second year na ng Civil Service (Commission). Last year it was the (BIR) La Union that was No.1. Last year we were rated “Good”. This year we were rated “Excellent”,” cited by Mangaoang .
Meanwhile, the Department of Finance declared recently BIR Region 1 under Director Arnel Guballa as No. 3 in the nationwide Key Result Area (KRA).
“BIR Region 1 was No. 1 as it trounced out 19 of the regional government offices in terms of Taxpayer Satisfaction, Improve Assistance Compliance, and Enforcement Process “ a source at the BIR said.
The tax agency’s Region 1 office became No. 2 in the Improvement Integrity’s category while it became No. 3 in the category of Accuracy of Tax Payer Data Base. 
RDO-4 under the stewardship of Chief RDO Renato Molina and ARDO-4 chief Charmaine dela Torre became No.  1 in two categories: Taxpayers Satisfaction and Compliance, and Improvement Integrity and Accuracy of Tax Payers Data Base.
 RDO-6 here became No. 1 in Improve Integrity and Accuracy of Taxpayers’ Data Base.
