Bobom keeps eye on Dengue

URDANETA CITY – The mayor of the most progressive city in Region-1 has been on guard to thwart any outbreak of dengue that haunted various towns in Pangasinan. Mayor Amadeo Gregorio E. Perez IV said this city officials have been vigilant to any upsurge of the virus as he said it strikes “on and off”. “Binibigyan natin ng pansin”he quipped. He said this city is more capable to assist all of his indigent constituents who would be struck by the break bone fever. “I hope that this virus would no longer occur again,” he stressed. The province of Pangasinan according to the Department of Health topped in the number of dengue cases registered for the period January to June this year. Dr. Edwin Monis, spokesman of DOH Region 1, said that of the 1,528 dengue cases and nine deaths reported in the whole of Region 1 for the past six months, Pangasinan registered 880 cases and two deaths. Meanwhile , Perez , the son of this city former mayor Amadito now an “ambassador” to Taiwan, whose administration runs under a fiscal budget of P641million this year has no plan to resort to a supplemental budget to fund its countless projects.
