CALASIAO, Pangasinan – The Bureau of Internal Revenue in the four provinces’ Ilocos Region has a new director, according to a top official of the agency.
Revenue District Office -4 Chief Ernesto Mangabat said that Regional OIC Director Josephine S. Virtucio replaced early December of 2020 Director Thelma S. Milabao.
He said that Virtucio and Milabao just exchanged post in Region 3 whose office is based in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan Province.

Mangabat said Region - 1 Assistant Regional Directo VC Cadangen replaced former Region-1 Assistant Director Wrenolph D. Panganiban.
Candangen came from Caloocan City while Panganiban was assigned in Quezon City.
Mangabat said that in the exigencies of the revenue service there was already a “movement” among RDO Chiefs in the country for their reassignment.
Just like the transfer of the regional director here some of the RDO chiefs have been given a Revenue Travel Assignment Order (RTAO).
“May movement naman na rin dito sa RDO. Itong dating Revenue District Officer sa Alaminos City napunta sa Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya ayon sa RTAO”.
He referred to RDO-Chief Cesar R. Balangatan who was formerly assigned in West Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, Mangabat said that as of December 21, 2020 his office that supervises the cities of San Carlos and Dagupan and 14 towns had collected P3, 361,213, 000 of the P3.3 billion of the goal the Department of Finance has given it to collect.
“Ang cumulative goal namin January to December 2020 P3,361, 213, 000. We collected na. P231, 985, 261 sobra now as of December 21 five days pa to collect at least masaya na kami at least naka goal na kami!”
The RDO-4 chief was originally given a P5.3 billion target by the national government but due to the economic depression caused by the pandemic’s Corona Virus Disease-19 it was reduced this year to P3.3 billion. Of the P5.3 billion given to his office to collect in year 2019, Mangabat collected P4.3 billion.
