BIR Eastern P’sinan No.1 Goal Achiever

URDANETA CITY, Pangasinan – The top executive of the Bureau of Internal Revenue in eastern Pangasinan has been feted by the regional office for being the number one goal achiever for the month of March 2021.

Officer-in-Charge Regional Director Josephine S. Virtucio cited Revenue District Office No. 6 Assistant Chief Lolita A. Salayog and her RDO No. 6 ‘s officials and employees based in this city for collecting P157, 836, 210.55 that resulted to an excess of P43, 918, 210.55 or 38.55% as compared to goal.

RDO No.6 was pitted with five similar offices in the four provinces' Region-1.

Other signatories to the certificate of appreciation were Collection Division Chief Josephine B. Paragas and Assistant Regional Director V.C Cadagen.

Salayog told this newspaper that for the first quarter of year 2021 her office closed two business establishments in the area of jurisdiction through Operation Kandado and one case filed at the Regional Trial Court here of  Run After Tax Evaders (RATE) against an alleged errant taxpayer.

Revision of zonal valuation is on going in the one city fifteen municipalities RDO No.6,” she added.

The zonal valuation is intended for RDO-6 and will be approved by the Department of Finance.

Approval of the second valuation will boost the tax collection of this eastern Pangasinan's tax office.

Salayog cited that RDO-6 was given by the national government of a tax goal of P1,741,744,000 for this year while her office had a tax target of P1,409,520,000 last year.
