DAGUPAN CITY - Jobseekers participated in two separate special recruitment activities (SRAs) held in Pangasinan over the weekend.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the Ilocos said the Industrial Personnel and Management Services, Inc., a Quezon City-based licensed recruitment agency (LRA), held a two-day SRA at the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Lingayen town on April 16 and 17.
The LRA has POEA-approved job orders for nurses for the United Kingdom; engineers and skilled construction workers for United Arab Emirates and China; and skilled workers for Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the E-GMP International Corporation, a Malate-based LRA, has slated a SRA at the Dagupan PESO on April 29 to make available nursing jobs, positions for professionals and skilled construction workers for Saudi Arabia and HOTEL AND restaurant workers for Kuwait.
“There are also jobs available for office workers such as accountants, analysts, secretaries/administrative staff, data encoders and many others. Jobseekers are encouraged to join the special recruitment activities and bring complete application requirements,” DOLE-1 Regional Director Grace Ursua said.
She said the SRAs will be helpful for jobseekers because they do not need to go to Manila and incur bigger expenses.
“Like job fairs, SRAs are among the strategies implemented by the DOLE and its partners to facilitate employment of jobseekers,” she added. (PIA-1, Pangasinan/DOLE)
