At around 11:40 AM of April 20, 2016 Dagupan City particularly at the Deco Stone Old De Venecia Highway Lucao District, Dagupan City,Police City Precinct 1 personnel based at Galvan Street, Dagupan City and PCP 5 personnel based at Lucao, Dagupan City under the direct supervision of the Chief of Police Supt. Christopher Abrahano arrested Jaime T. Salas, 53 years old, married, vendor and a resident of #27 Pag-Asa St., Quezon City; Moises B. Dejan, Jr., 53 years old, married, driver and a resident of No. 658 Interior, Cupang, Muntinlupa City; Edonel Tanares, 34 years old, single, driver and a resident of B10 L20. Osoro St., Maharlika, Imus, Cavite; Renaliza S. Cartusiano alias Leni Duran, 36 years old, single, and a resident of Zone 135 #9 Milagrosa St., Bagong Brrio, Caloocan City; Cristina I. Castro, 44 years old, single and a resident of Malibu-Matanda, Pandi, Bulacan and Maridel B. Adalla, 33 years old, single and a resident of Tiblong, San Fabian, Pangasinan upon complaint of the victim Angeli Jean O. Ramos, 23 years old, single, and a resident of Arellano St, Dagupan City.
Initial investigation disclosed that at around 9:00 AM of April 20, 2016 after the victim (Ms Ramos) just came out from Landbank she was approached by Ms Cartusiano and pretended herself as a businesswoman who is looking to buy a decal stone for her business.
Further investigation reveals that while they were talking Ms Castro also approached followed by Ms Adalla and together they confederated with one another in convincing the victim to help them look for the said place where a decal stone is for sale. At that juncture, victim was then convinced to board a Hyundai Tucson with plate no. BCW-300 and together they went straight to Old De Venecia Highway, Lucao, this city.
While on board the said vehicle (BCW-300) a bundle of money was showed to her and after a rbief conversation she was convinced to put her money inside a pouch however when she brought out her Php 3,000.00 suspects then suddenly asked her if she still have more money. Victim told that her money was in their house so she was forced to text somebody and bring the money to them. Victim was then trying to tell them to just alight from the said vehicle but she was prevented as she was sandwich by Ms Adalla and Ms Castro.
Victim then conceded with the request of the suspect but instead of texting her family she sends a message to his friend a police officer of DCPS and informed them about the said incident as well as their location. The police officer then relayed the message to the Tactical Operation Center wherein mobile patrol and MASCO Units were immediately dispatched to verify the veracity of the said text message.
Few minutes later at around 11:40 AM said vehicle was located along Old De Venecia Highway near Deco Stone and General Merchandise which was accompanied by another back-up vehicle Hyundai Tucson with plate no. UIV-198 and when they were about to approached the said vehicle both immediately speed off going City Proper. Mobile patrol 602 and 507 chased both vehicles and upon arrival at Burgos Extension both vehicle separated wherein UIV 198 went straight to Burgos Extension but was corner infront of SMV Tailoring Shop while BCW-300 went to Perez Blvd this city but was cornered at Callejon Street, this city.
Caught inside Hyundai UIV-198 were Jaime Salas and Moises Dejan JR while caught inside Hyundai BCW-300 were the three female suspects, the driver Edonel Tanares and the rescued victim. Recovered inside each of the said vehicles were boodle paper, small padlocks, assorted pouches, metal cable locks, cellphones and other paraphernalia which will be used in Budol-Budol incident. Recovered vehicles will be endorsed to HPG Office in Lingayen, Pangasinan for proper disposition.
