DAGUPAN CITY -A Pangasinense police officer placed second among the 88 senior police officials in the country who took the Police Executive Service Eligibility (PESE) examination administered by the National Police Commission (Napolcom) this year.
Police Chief Inspector Ryan Manongdo, currently assigned as the officer-in-charge of the Pozorrubio police station, made it to the top five after passing both the written and validation interview phases of the PES Eligibility process.
The PESE is an eligibility requirement for the third level ranks in the Philippine National Police (PNP) such as Police Senior Superintendent, Police Chief Superintendent, Police Director, Police Deputy Director General and Police Director General.
“I am grateful for this blessing in my police career,” he told the Philippine Information Agency.
In 2007, Manongdo ranked 3rd in the Napolcom Inspector Exam and 8th in the Napolcom Superintendent Exam in 2010.
Prior to his present assignment as OIC of PNP-Pozorrubio, he served as information officer and the acting chief in Logistic/Finance of the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office.
Other PNP officials who made it to the top five of the PESE exam are: Police Supt. Jeanurada Macario, nurse PCO (Police Commissioned Officer) at the PNP General Hospital (Top 1); Chief Insp. Mary Grace Nasdoman, chief Plans Section, Office of the Regional Logistics Division, National Capital Region Police Office (Top 3); Chief Insp. Reuben Macario, Administrative Officer, Regional Health Service, PRO 9 (Top 4); and Chief Insp. Vener Santos, Women and Children’s Complaint Division, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, PNP National Headquarters (Top 5).
The 8th PESE conferment rites was held on December 19 at the Jesse M. Robredo Hall, DILG-Napolcom Center in Quezon City, with Interior Secretary and Napolcom chairman Mar Roxas as guest of honor and speaker.
