MANGALDAN - The mayor of this burgeoning
town availed for a three week leave after she was invited to speak to different
organizations of this town in California, USA.
COOPERATIVE MONTH. Two days before she departed to the U.S,
Mayor Bonafe de Vera – Parayno (5th

Mayor Bonafe de
Vera-Parayno said that one of these organizations is the Mangaldan
International Association.
“They are inviting us,
siempre gusto din nilang marinig ang SOMA (State of Municipality Address), so
mag so-SOMA ako doon sa kanila,” she stressed.
De Vera-Parayno left
to the U.S last October 18 and will return on November 3 here. She has been
succeeded in her post in a temporary capacity by Vice Mayor Manuel Casupang.
Parayno emphatically said
she would not go to the U.S to solicit for aid for this town unlike like what
municipalities and cities in Pangasinan have been doing in the past.
“Aaay, hindi sa akin!
I will tell them what is being done in Mangaldan and the various development dito
sa Mangaldan”.
Meanwhile, two days
before her departure to the United States, Parayno met Rep. Gina de Venecia (4th
District, Pangasinan) at the former house in Dagupan City. She said she
discussed with the solon the projects the town needs next year.
