Dagupan hotels fully booked for Bangus Fest


                    Tourists urge to avail of hotels outside the city

DAGUPAN CITY – Rooms in major and medium scales hotels in this city have been fully booked  a week after the start of the month long  Bangus Festival 2017 that began last March 31.
City Tourism Chief Sharon Maramba said as of late March hotel rooms in this City proper were already filled up through reservation.

Nag booked para sa mga judges sa Gilon-Gilon Festival of the North pati iyong (inaudible) trainers wala na po that’s three weeks ago. So we don’t have enough hotels,” she stressed during a press conference held at the Atrium in CSI Stadia last April 6.

As of the first week of April, she cited, hotels and resorts at the outskirts of this burgeoning city would have already been booked, too.
“So in terms of occupancy sobrang mataas o fully booked na sa city (proper) na hotel. Fully booked na sila”.
Maramba advised tourists to avail of hotels at the neighboring towns of Mangaldan, Calasiao, Binmaley, and Lingayen.
The major draws in the month long celebration for foreign and local tourists are the Festivals of the North where participants from here and other cities and towns in Luzon, garbed in their local customs, strut their street dancing prowess and Bangusan Street Party dubbed as the Kalutan, Kainan, Kasayahan Ed Dalan that has been a perennial biggest street party in the Philippines.
The Festivals of the North will be held on April 28 while the Bangusan Street Party will be on April 30.
According to the data of the Tourism Office, there are 763 rooms of hotels, resorts, town inns, and pension houses here.
Hotels and resorts here are Star Plaza Hotels (Department of Tourism’s accredited) with 86 rooms; Leisure Coast Hotel Resort with 49 rooms; Lenox Hotel (DOT accredited) with 40 rooms; Luxor Hotel (DOT accredited) with 26 rooms; Dagupan Village Hotel with 25 rooms; Hotel Le Duc with 25 rooms; Ciudad Elmina Fishing Village Resort with 20 rooms; YMCA with 16 rooms; Hotel Monde with 10 rooms and; Ragtime Suites with 6 rooms.
Town Inns and Pension Houses with 408 rooms are Albert Lodge, Barangay Apartelle, Cabana Inn (second biggest with 42 rooms), Crisologo Traveller’s Inn, Dalas Lodge, Gayaman Lodge, Gelymar Inn, Hao-Wei Inn, Inn Asia Dagupan, Justin Cottage, Mascara Inn, Minda’s Cottage, Nel-Ars Inn, Nena’s Bed & Breakfast, Nice & Relax Inn, Nobili’s Inn, Rose Plaza Inn, Solid Star Lodging Inn, Sun Drive Inn, Sunshine Lodge, Tondaligan Park Inn, Towngate Inn, Value Star Inn (the biggest with 96 rooms), and West Gate Motor Inn.
