MANGALDAN - A vice presidential candidate lauded the Supreme Court after
it decided that presidential bet Grace Poe was a natural born cirtizen thus
qualified to run for the presidency.
“Binabati ko si Senator
Grace at nagpapasalamat ako sa Korte Suprema (I congratulate Senator Grace Poe,
I congratulate the Supreme Court on its decision!)” he told this paper at 3 pm
last Tuesday just after the social media posted online that nine justices
rejected the consolidated petition filed by the Commission on Election against
the presidential front runner.
NEWSPAPER. Vice Presidential bet Francis “Chiz” Escudero was glued
reading the most circulated newspaper Northern Watch as senatorial aspirant
Isko Moreno stomped in a student gathering at the Pangasinan State University
in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, after hearing the decision of the high court when they
barnstormed with Escudero the public market of this burgeoning town,
anti-smuggling Samahang Industriya at Agrikultura’ (SINAG) president Rosendo So
and senatorial aspirant Migz Zubiri hailed the Supreme Court on its fairness.
“Alam naman natin na Filipina si
Grace Poe kaya alam natin na talagang proper kung talagang declared na natural
born (We already know that Grace Poe is Filipina thus we know it is proper she
was declared by the high court as natural born citizen),” So declared.
The anti-smuggling group president said after the Supreme Court’s
decision favouring the survey front runner. He added that the intention of Poe
for the highest public office would already be in the pipeline.
Prior to being the campaign manager of Poe and Escudero’s tandem and
their senatorial ticket in Region 1 and Baguio City, The Sinag president has
been the campaign manager of Poe’s father action star Fernando Poe, Jr. when he
ran for the presidency in 2004.
Zubiri excitedly quipped when he learned that Poe got the nod of the
majority of the justices.
“Ah, tamang tama po, kaming
lahat at least buhay na buhay na si Grace Poe (That’s a good timing. We are all
ecstatic because Grace Poe’s candidacy has been reinvigorated)” he said.
He cited her candidacy will spike.
When asked in Visaya if his fellow Mindanaoan PDP-Laban presidential
aspirant Rodrigo Duterte who statistically tied with Poe in the latest Laylo
Survey would eat dust in the coming polls after the Supreme Court sided with
Poe, Zubiri retorted: “Ah, dili man pero
tingnan, tan-awon nato, tan-awon nato kana! Will see. God willing, God willing.
(Ah, no, but will see, will watch, will see that! Will see. God willing, God
willing)”.
