CITY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL APPROVES SUPPLEMENTAL AIP PROJECTS FOR 2016


 DAGUPAN CITY – The City Development Council passed a resolution on March 1 approving the city’s supplemental Annual Investment Program with a budget of P97,172,341.20 to finance the full implementation of the city’s programs and projects for 2016.
The resolution was moved by Punong Barangay Conrado Muyalde of Salisay and duly seconded by Punong Barangays Marcelino Fernandez of Lucao,  Evangelita dela Cruz of Calmay and Punong Barangay Lolita Vallejos of Poblacion Oeste.
 Copies of Resolution No. 2, series of 2016 was already forwarded to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and the Department of Budget and Management for appropriate action.
 Mayor Belen T. Fernandez said that the more than P97 million budget came from the city’s savings amounting to P96,072,341.20 and the amount of P1,100,000.00 from the reversion/re-alignment from the upgrading of PCC pavement in Tebeng and the main road at Tapuac under the 20 percent development fund for 2016 and repair of Tebeng’s barangay hall under non-office appropriation..
The programs and projects which are listed for implementation this year under  the resolution are the fabrication of basketball boards and construction/repair of open court gyms in different barangays under Youth and Sports Development Program.
 Construction/upgrading of PCC pavement with drainage system at different barangays of the City including the upgrading of PCC pavement with drainage system at Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) under Phase II; improvement of Magsaysay and Malimgas Markets especially the construction of a deboning area at Malimgas under Phase II and the lighting of boat terminal at Magsaysay.
 Construction/renovation of comfort rooms at poolside, Caranglaan Elementary School and Public Alert and Response Monitoring Center; construction of Day Care Center at Lomboy and Bonuan Binloc both under Phase II; improvement of various government buildings with additional outlay for construction of 3-storey evacuation center with roof deck under Phase II in Salapingao and construction of 30 units of row houses in Bonuan Binloc under Phase III.

 Construction of various other infrastructures like clearing/leveling of the existing oval at the Bonuan Boquig Elementary School, construction of foot bridge in Tokok, Carael under Phase III, construction of gate at Pogo Lasip Elementary School, construction of perimeter fence at Bahay Pag-Asa in Bonuan Boquig, installation of two units of deep well in Bacayao Norte, procurement of steel railings for trees for the beautification of the City Hall and Museum, among others.
 Purchase of various materials for the beautification project for the propagation and preservation of the city’s official flower, rosal; purchase of lot for the construction of more classrooms of the  Bonuan Boquig National High School; purchase of  heavy equipment for the maintenance of creek; purchase of motor vehicles for City Mayor’s Office, General Services Office and Sangguniang Panlungsod.
 Demolition of the old PNP building on Herrero-Perez to pave the way for the construction of the city’s One Stop Diagnostic Center of the City Health Office; purchase of various equipment and other supplies for the Women’s Center which houses a training center; purchase of various equipment for DCNHS Special Program in the Arts, among others.
 We have also included the additional outlay for the implementation of the first tranche of compensation adjustment of our city hall employees occupying regular positions based on Local Budget Circular No. 108 dated February 24, 2016 amounting to P31,829,041.20,” said Fernandez.
