Pangasinan adopts San Roque Power Corporation’s CEO

LINGAYEN– The Sangguniang Panlalawigan here passed a resolution on Monday making the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ryukichi Kawaguchi, of the San Roque Power Corporation (SRPC) as an adopted son of Pangasinan.

The resolution, authored by Board Member Alfonso Bince, Jr., seeks to give honor and commendation to SRPC CEO Kawaguchi, for his contribution for the development of the province.

Bince said in a resolution “one need not  be a true Pangasinense to fully serve the province in terms of leading a private company involved in hydroelectric power generation”.

“Mr. Kawaguchi, who has lived in the Philippines for 25 years and has devoted his time and expertise as chief executive officer of SRPC since 2003, is the first Japanese citizen who will be adopted by the province of Pangasinan as a son,” said Bince.

He said Kawaguchi is responsible for the major processes of the corporation in ensuring the path towards clean power and building sustainable communities in the province.

SRPC, since its start of operation in San Manuel town in year 2003, has become increasingly active in organizing and financing development projects that have benefitted different local communities in the promotion of the interest of its people, said Bince.

Likewise, he disclosed that the province has already adopted the following as son of Pangasinan: Director General Leandro Mendoza, Director General Hermogenes Ebdane, Jr., Police Senior Supt. Marlo San Diego, Dr. Lucio Tan, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Roberto Rosales, Team Members of the Bridge of Life-DaVIta Medical Missions, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Reynaldo Puno and  two senators from the Guam Parliament.
