CALASIAO, Pangasinan – Barely a month as a mayor of this town, the young Patrick A. Caramat recently had his baptism of fire as he tirelessly waded breast deep flood water to deliver personally relief goods, transportation, and encouragement to his beleaguered constituents in the 17 of the 24 villages submerged by the water brought by severe tropical typhoons Crising, Dante and Emong and the heavy southwest moon rain.

 MANGALDAN, Pangasinan - Higit nang mapapabilis at mapapabuti ang pagsasaka ng limang samahan ng mga magsasaka dito na tumanggap kamakailan lang ng higit sa Php 4.6 milyong pisong halaga ng makinarya at iba pang kagamitan pangsaka mula sa Department of Agriculture (DA).


Isinagawa ang official turnover ng mga ipinamahaging agricultural intervention sa DA-Pangasinan Research and Experiment Center (PREC) sa Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, mula sa pangangasiwa ng DA – Regional Field Office 1 (RFO1).

In Pangasinan, SM City Urdaneta Central, SM City Rosales, and SM Center Dagupan, in partnership with the Pangasinan Provincial DRRM and DSWD, distributed a total of 1,250 Kalinga Packs to residents of Agno, Pangasinan.

VM Anton, Others Elected as New Off. of NMYL-P’sinan Chap

SAN JUAN, La Union - Through the initiative of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL) conducted here the simultaneous regional and provincial reorganization of the NMYL local chapters throughout the whole country.

NMYL TOP BRASS. Newly elected officers of the Department of Interior and Local Government sanctioned National Movement of Young Legislators famously known as NMYL for brevity takes their oath of office. NMYL-Pangasinan Chapter newly minted Chairman Anton Miguel Perez (3rd from left) leads the oath-taking held in San Juan, La Union.

The chapter in Region 1-Ilocos Region had recently concluded their activity in August 5 to 6 this year in Illi Norte, San Juan, La Union. Before the activity, the NMYL-Pangasinan Chapter held a General Meeting at Magtaking, San Carlos City where different young legislators from the towns and cities of the garguntuan Pangasinan met. Alaminos City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez voiced there his intention to run as the Provincial Chairman of the 2025-2028 Executive Board of NMYL Pangasinan Chapter. The young vice mayor expounded that his primodial focus was Alaminos but wanted to join nevertheless the elective process of the NMYL because it is a good training ground for future competent leaders of the province.

Meet Martin Sison: Ex-Mayor, Solon, Incoming BM

While sitting at one of the seats in the lounge of the office of the Vice Governor at the Capitol in Lingayen yesterday afternoon and exchanging pleasantries with the councilors (lawmakers) from other towns and cities of Pangasinan who were there for the review of their mostly supplemental budgets by the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial lawmakers), a young male councilor clad in a blue barong, Thailand Wai style ( pressing the palms together with fingers pointing upward, and slightly bowing the head) gesture and told me he is Martin Sison (former mayor of Urbiztondo).



“Oo, kilala kita. The incoming Board Member (ex-officio Councilors League of Pangasinan)!” I told the former Hizzoner.

467 Jobseekers Joined SM City Urdaneta Central's Job Fair 2025

SM City Urdaneta Central welcomed hundreds of hopefuls at its Job Fair held on July 30, drawing a total of 467 applicants and recording six hired on the spot.

SM Supermalls, through SM City Urdaneta Central, joined hands with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Pangasinan, local government units, and private companies in holding the job fair. Present during the event were SM Assistant Mall Manager Ms. Christine A. Rosario, PESO Chief Ms. Richelle Raguindin, and representatives from partner LGUs and local organizations.
