FMR to Spike Economic Stocks of Farmers

By Mortz C. Ortigoza

MANAOAG, Pangasinan – A newly inaugurated P15-million farm-to-market road (FMR) was seen to uplift the economic welfare of the farmers here.

According to Pangasinan 4th District Cong. Gina de Venecia, the new road that connects between the far-flung farmlands and the markets would lower the production cost of the crops that will give benefit to farmers and the buyers.

“Dahil ang farm-to-market road ay direktang nag-uugnay sa mga bukid o agricultural production patungo sa merkado kapag may reliable at accessible pathways diretso po ang tulong sa mga magsasaka dahil bumababa ang transportation cost,” she explained to the people of Barangay Sta. Ines when she, Mayor Jeremy Agerico “Ming” Rosario, MD, and spouse Doc Twiggy, and Board Member Marinor Baltazar-De Guzman graced the occasion.

The P15 million project was constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highway.

Mayor Rosario lauded the Congresswoman in the vernacular for the conclusion of the construction of the road.

De Venecia said the project was an initiative of his predecessor and son former 4th District Rep.
