“Hindi lang
iyang nandiyan lang nakaupo pinapabayaan na lahat. So, kailangan tayo mamili.
Hindi porke nagbigay ng pera iyon iyon na iyan dahil matagal inaabot ng limang
taon ang barangay kapitan. Limang taon na magtitiis kayo,” Mayor Ramil
“Balong” P. Ventenilla told Northern
Watch Newspaper about the
incompetence of these officials who won their election through vote buying and
enjoy serving their three year’s term in office that is extended by Congress to
another two years.
He called voters to choose
candidates who have “malasakit at
nakakatulong sa inyo sa bawat oras” and those who would not put their
constituents in the harm's way.
The seven years serving mayor
reminded the people of his town that he would continue to excel on his job as
the Chief Executive of the local government despite he got only two years left
on his last term.
“Well, sa
Ventenilla disclosed he would no longer seeks
any political elective position after ending his term on June 30, 2025. He said
he would return to his passion farming in this 86 villages’ first class town.
This more than 80, 000 population
town is the rice granary of Pangasinan because it has the biggest land areas in
the province.
Mangatarem’s public market draws
not only the local residents but also people of various persuasions from the
adjoining towns of Urbiztondo, Aguilar, and San Clemente, Tarlac, especially on
weekends. This is one of the reasons that major commercial establishments in
Pangasinan and the country put shops here.
