AGOO,
La Union – Heads of government offices given by their superiors financial
target for this year should emulate the strategy of a chief of the Land Transportation Office here.
AileenTanguilig-Peteros said she used Face Book Boost to reach more clients after she was given a P14 million collection goal when she headed the LTO Bayambang, Pangasinan.
“All fronts to engage the clients
na pupunta sa LTO. I use technology sa FB page madami ng nandoon so nag create
kami ng LTO Bayambang Page and from there iyong AOR ng Bayambang bino boost
namin”.

Those areas of concern she spiked were registration and renewal of the vehicles, and requirements for student permits.
Boosted posts are advertisement one creates from posts in
the Facebook Page, according to Facebook. Boosting a post may help a member gets
more people to react, share and comment on it. One may also reach new people
who are likely interested in one's page or business, but don't currently follow
the member.
Peteros
said that the almost P9 million collection for January to May this year in Bayambang
can be attributed to many factors in collection strategies that included the FB
system.
To
boost clients that will go to her office, she and her staff resorted to market
visitation, distribution of the flyers, and they post announcement to FB
Community pages like that of Philippine National Police- Bayambang about the
clients LTO concern.
She spent her own money to boost the number of clients her office wants to
inform. Peteros cited that the fee was only minimal.
“Face to face na pag convince sa mga clients we are very
accommodating. Try us mas mabilis ang serbisyo namin gumaganoon ako. Kasi in
other district offices madami ang customers pero try us!”
When
she became the new LTO chief of this town the goal given to the office was P44
million this year.
Tanguilig
did not need to imitate her FB technique in Bayambang because the clients here burgeoned.
“Dito naman marami na siyang client
ang gusto ko lang convenience sa mga tao.
One way is priority for their parking”.
Tanguilig
in her earlier stint here middle of this year had to lock horns with the
village chief because he would not give up the car parking space for a fee at
the Eagle of the North Park.
It is a giant eagle structure designed by Architect
Anselmo Day-ag as a Symbol of former president
Ferdinand Marcos' power.
“That is a public park and customers of the
LTO were at a loss because the highway in front of it has narrow space”.
With
the office of the mayor backing her request to free the periphery of a fee, the grudging barangay chairman capitulated.
The Municipality of Agoo, is a first class
municipality in the province of La Union, Philippines. According to the
2015 census, it has a population of 63,692 people.
