– After those narcotics related personalities have been accounted in the two
villages here, this town has been declared by the police as illegal drugs free,
according to the chief of police.

Jeff Fanged said the declaration of the Municipal Anti-Drug Advisory Council
has been delayed because some individuals in Barangays Bari and Poblacion could
not be found.
With the
91 high value targets finally accounted this town that has been locking horns
with the illegal substance is narcotic free before the eyes of the Philippine National
Police.
Meantime,
this burgeoning local government unit (LGU) is in the stage of documentation for the final validation
as narcotics free by the Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
This town
and 28 towns and a city in the 44 towns and four cities’ Pangasinan have been
cleared by the Provincial Police Office in Pangasinan of dangerous drugs related
persons.
These LGUs and a city wait to be validated finally to be drugs free by the PDEA
after they submitted those required pertinent documents.
According to Police Chief Inspector Norman
Florentino, PPO’s spokesman, these local government units are Asingan,
Pozorrubio, Infanta, Sta. Barbara, Bani, Bugallon, Manaoag, San Manuel,
Binalonan, Urbiztondo, Lingayen, San Jacinto, Calasiao, Sual, Umingan,
Malasiqui, Alcala, Tayug, Bautista, Sta. Maria, Labrador, Basista, San Quintin,
Sison, Aguillar, Mabini, Bolinao, Burgos, and Urdaneta City
The six
towns and two cities that are not narcotics free before the evaluation of the
police are the cities of Dagupan and San Carlos and the towns of Villasis, San
Fabian, Rosales, Mangatarem, Binmaley, ad Balungao.
The PNP expect
that comes December this year all the 44 towns and four cities in Pangasinan
will be illegal drugs free.
