Two radio commentators
interviewed recently Pangasinan Second District’s Congressman Leopoldo Bataoil,
a retired police two -star general, at his district’s office in Lingayen town. The
interview revolved around the failed peace talk between the Government Republic of the
Philippines and the communist’s National Democratic Front, his stance on the
death penalty law and why congressmen did not include plunder as one of the
offenses for the re- imposition of the death punishment, and other pressing
issues. The solon was one of the observers from Congress that was sent in
Norway and Rome, Italy last year and January this year in the botched peace
talk experts blamed on the Reds. Photo by Mortz C. Ortigoza
