DAGUPAN CITY
– The month long hiatus of a full ranked provincial director at the police
provincial office in Pangasinan has been over after Sr. Supt. Sterling Raymund Blanco has been given an order to be an officer-in-charged starting January 14 this year.

Blanco, a member of Philippine Military Academy Class 1989, took
over the command from Superintendent Lawrence Sison who assumed the post in a hold-over capacity
after acting provincial director Sr. Supt. Marlou C. Chan left his post in December 17 for a new assignment as chief of the regional police directorial staff in San Fernando
City, La Union.
Blanco, who hailed from Laoag City, was the chief of the powerful regional intelligence division of the police in Region 1. He was replaced by Sr. Supt. Magaway, a member of PMA Class 1986, as the top honcho of the intelligence
division known in police nomenclature as R-2.
