MANGALDAN - As one of the few recipients of an award
in the Philippines, this thriving town was rewarded with Performance-Based
Incentive System (PBIS) for Fiscal Year 2017 with four other towns in Region -1
and with 23 towns and cities in the entire country by the Department of Budget & Management.
The awarding body was the Inter-Agency Task Force
on the Harmonization of the National Government Performance Monitoring,
Information, and Reporting Systems.

“Because the house keeping of LGU Mangaldan is
in order and in compliance with all the requirements and in supports of the
Philippines laws, that’s why we have this reward and the proponents based on the performances
and seldom na mabigyan. Actually ito nga lang malaki na ito,” Fernando
Saguisag Cabrera, administrative officer 4 of the local government unit
(LGU) here, cited.
Cabrera however did not disclose how much monetary
bonus the LGU here received
Those recipients in Region 1 were Burgos,
Pangasinan, Calasiao, Pangasinan, Infanta, Pangasinan, Lingayen, Pangasinan,
and this burgeoning town under the stewardship of two-term Mayor Bona Fe D.
Parayno.
While those in Region 3 were San Fernando City,
Pampanga, Guiguinto, Bulacan, Flordiblanca, Pampanga, Paniqui, Tarlac, on Region
4A were Province of Laguna, Batangas City, Batangas, Bacoor City, Cavite, Imus
City, Cavite, Calamba City, Laguna, Santa Rosa City, Laguna, Binan, Laguna,
Carmona, Cavite, Magallanes, Cavite, Silang, Cavite, Binangonan, Rizal,
Pililia, Rizal, those in Region 10 was Alubijid, Misamis Oriental, Region 12
was Cotabato City, and the National Capital Region was Pasig City.
The award was endorsed by Laura B. Pascua, Undersecretary, Department of Budget & Management and head, AO25 Technical Working Group.
