Dagupan City's son Batang Gilas Raven Cortez who hailed from Barangay Bonuan Boquig. At 15 yr old, Raven stands 6'7" (2.01m) already. Together with his parents and Dagupan City Sports Commissioner Nestor Duque, Raven paid visit to the city and Mayor Belen T. Fernandez to inspire Dagupeños athletes who are set to compete at the 2018 Palarong Pambansa in Vigan, Ilocos Sur on April 15-21.
After reigning as Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) champion, at least 59 Balon Dagupan athletes will be seeing actions in the 2018 Palarong Pambansa representing Region 1 in its quest for gold medals against 17 other regions all over the country.
