LGU-Pangasinan Inks Partnership with GMA TV for Global Promotion of Pistay Dayat

LINGAYEN – The Provincial Government of Pangasinan has formally accepted GMA Network, Inc. as its strategic partner in the promotion of the two biggest festivals of the province which are the Agew na Pangasinan and Pistay Dayat (Sea Festival)2015 slated on April 8 to May 3.

            The partnership was formalized following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the province led by Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr.and GMA network executives led by Assistant Vice President for GMA Regional TV Oliver Victor Amoroso and GMA North Central Luzon Station Manager Jonathan T. Balingit.

            The MOA signing which was witnessed by provincial government department heads and officials of the television network was held on March 6 at the ceremonial hall of the Urduja House here.

            As the province deems it necessary to provide the public the chance to take a closer look at the highlights of the festivities and promote the Pangasinan festivals to Filipinos nationwide and all over the world, Gov. Espino said he is happy to be a part of the partnership with the Kapuso Network.

            The governor said the province chose the Kapuso network as he believes that the network can well project the various activities through media coverage and TV pluggings.

            Amoroso likewise expressed pride that the province has chosen the GMA Network for its promotional activities in showcasing the greatness of this province through the network’s programs.

            Amoroso said GMA is committed to showcase Pangasinan’s history, diverse cultural heritage and its people saying that this year’s Kapuso participation in the province’s festivals will be extra special compared to the previous years as the celebrations will involve GMA’s finest stars in the major activities as well as mounting the network’s signature events.  

            Balingit, on the other hand, assured to bring not only local but global exposure to the wonderful festivals that will bring significance to the hearts of every Filipino worldwide and bring Pistay Dayat in the list of the most sought festivals.

            Among the major events that will perk up the major celebration of the festivals with participation of Kapuso artists include:  Parada na Dayew Float Parade,  Kapuso Fans Day, Limgas na Pangasinan, Banca Parada and the Kapuso Night.
