De Venecia’s District-Wide Greening Program


Some 107, 059 seedlings of assorted tree seedlings were distributed by Rep. Gina de Venecia last weekend in Dagupan City, Mangaldan, Manaoag, San Fabian and San Jacinto to formally start the massive district-wide greening program the 4th District, in cooperation with PENRO and CENRO. According to De Venecia, the district-wide greening project is aimed at establishing mini- forest in all public schools, soil protection system along the river banks, and beautification of major hi-ways. For roadside beautification, she gave 33, 965 flowering trees like Caballero, Fire Tree, Golden Shower and Tecoma. For the establishment of mini forest in public shools, De Veencia has alloted 21, 962 seedlings of narra, 20,083 seedlings of mahogany and 5,000 seedlings of Kamagong. She also distributed a total of 26,049 seedlings of kawayang bayog and kawayang tinik for riverbank protection.
