Brigada Eskwela (National Schools Maintenance Week) is a flagship Department of Education (DepEd) program that mobilizes parents, teachers, and community volunteers to clean, repair, and prepare public schools before the academic year begins. It operates on the spirit of bayanihan (community cooperation) to ensure classrooms are safe and conducive to learning.

As preparation for the opening of the classes on Monday (June 8), the personnel of the local government – like those from the Engineering, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, General Services Office, and others -- have their hands full in helping the students, their parents, the teachers, and other school stakeholders in cleaning and repairing of the 22 schools.

“Other than that meron kaming tatlong team going around the schools may dala silang gamit for cleaning,” Mayor Rosario stressed.
