BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan – The renowned Paskuhan sa Bayambang
does not only attract tens of thousands of spectators that came from in and out
of this town but a boon too with hotels outside of here.
”Pinapunta
po namin sa kalapit na bayan natin na bigyan ng accommodation. Alam ko ito ang
kailangan ng bayan hopefully. Soon magkakaroon din kami ng malalaking hotel,”
Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao said at the conference hall of the family owned Royal Mall
here before the opening and launching of the country’s biggest Animated Christmas Display.

He cited that billets like gardens and inns
here could not accommodate the volume of the spectators who will attend the
major events like the animated display.
The Quiambao Administration’s Magical World of
Disneyland is brought to this town through the spectacular Animated Christmas
Display which was declared last year as the biggest in the entire country,
attracting thousands of people every night right at the heart of the municipality.
The media kit given to reporters last Friday said it lured the crowd to get ready to witness Mickey Mouse dance with Belle on their
beautiful castle, feel the cold breeze on Elsa’s tower, sing along with the
king of the jungle, and fly with Aladdin on his magic carpet as we bring you
Paskuhan sa Bayambang”.
It cited that every child and child-at-heart is
sure to enjoy the grand display, along with its surroundings which features a toy-story-themed playground, a train station designed with the influence of
Frozen, and a foundation area inspired by the Little Mermaid.
“Paskuhan sa Bayambang has been a popular
destination among families and people of all ages from the entire North-Central
Luzon for the past three years, and this 2019, the magic lives on as we bring
the happiest place on earth closer to home”, the press kit said.

Rafael L. Saygo told this writer that the hoopla was local government unit initiated, when asked by the latter if the event was sanctioned by Disneyland.
He cited that the LGU made some minor changes
on the garbs of the foreign characters like Mickey Mouse to avoid any issue
with the franchiser.
Weekly event for people here and outside to
enjoy are the Parol-Making Contest on November 29 which promotes the use of
recyclable materials to be aligned with the Environmental Protection and
Disaster Resiliency thrust of the Bayambang Poverty Reduction Plan (BPRP).
Christmas Carol Contest on December 5, 2019 is
a project which would showcase the talent of Bayambangueno youth in the field
of music while making them aware of the Socio-Cutural-Development and Social
Protection thrust of the BPRP.
Christmas Costume Contest will be on December
13, 2019. It will provide a platform for different schools, organizations, and
groups to display their creativity as they fashion costumes inspired by Disney
and the BPRP thrust Economic and Infrastructure Development.
Live Belen Contest will be on December 20,
2019. This traditional Christmas contest with a twist, which is anchored on the
Agricultural Modernization thrust of the BPRP.
Bong-Bong (Bamboo Cannon) –Designing Contest
will be on December 27, 2019. This will focus on the BPRP’s Good Governance
thrust, would feature the talent of hardworking public servant, ensuring the
massive crowd at the Municipal Plaza.
