DAGUPAN CITY – Float Dekada 2007-2017 of the Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) was adjudged as the best float during the city’s 70th year anniversary parade called "Parada na Dekada" along the main streets on June 20.

DCNHS brought home the cash prize of P20,000 including one minor award as most disciplined Secondary Dekada 2007-2017 float with P10,000 as additional cash prize.
The best presentation award was won by Elementary Dekada 2018 and beyond with P10,000 cash prize.
"Parada na Dekada" was one of the major events in the city’s Platinum Year celebration, which featured different floats depicting the seven centuries the city had gone through from 1947-1957, 1957-1967, 1967-1977, 1977-1987, 1987-1997, 1997-2007, 2007-2017.
Each decade was represented by the different clustered barangays with the special participation of DCNHS representing the 7th decade.
Each decade presented a dance number, performed to the tune that was famous during that particular decade with Mayor Belen T. Fernandez leading the dance execution along with the different department heads and employees of the city and the young city officials, "Manlingkor Ya Kalangweran". (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO)
